CEDR Working Group Supply Chain Relations consists of experts on procurement practices as well as on harmonisation and standards. The overarching objective on procurement is to tackle all procurement-related topics relevant for European NRAs to facilitate and optimise the efficient use of existing financial resources.
In the recent past, the procurement experts has been particularly focused on the topic of procurement of maintenance and published a technical report which presents and compares the procurement practices of different European NRAs when it comes to road maintenance.
In 2025, the expert group is expected to continue its work on green procurement which is a rather intelligent procurement process requiring innovative instruments aimed at the purchase of products and services that cause minimal adverse environmental impacts.
The experts on harmonisation and standards address the legal framework of harmonised standards within which the operations of European NRAs must be carried out. In this context, the aim of the expert group is to develop and share knowledge on how harmonised rules in the EU affect NRAs and their day-to-day businesses and highlight the existing challenges.
