CEDR
MEMBER AREA

CEDR's WG Harmonisation and Standards addresses the legal framework of harmonised standards within which the operations of European NRAs must be carried out. In this context, the aim of the Group is to develop and share knowledge on how harmonised rules in the EU affect NRAs and their day-to-day businesses and highlight the existing challenges.

In the recent past, the WG has structured its work around different themes such as the European Assessment Documents (EADs), the Construction Product Regulation (CPR) and the secong generation of Eurocodes which are technical standards specifying how structural design should be conducted within the EU.

In 2024, the Group is expected to extend its scope to more topics including market surveillance and road restraint systems, among others. Every three years, the WG updates CEDR’s guide on standardisation processes initially published in 2007.
