CEDR's Working Group Road Freight Corridor Management focuses on important developments related to heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in relation to freight corridors, constructional safety and the management of road assets and traffic. In this context, the Group’s overarching aim is to formulate conclusions and recommendations for European NRAs on the aforementioned topics after considering all related ongoing urgencies.
In order to reach its objectives, the WG uses as reference the results of CEDR's Research Call 2015 on freight and logistics in a multimodal context and maintains close links with various external stakeholders. The Group recently published a technical report entitled 'impact of freight on road infrastructure' the aim of which is to give European NRAs the possibility to compare different approaches on how to deal with ageing infrastructure and developments in road freight.
