CEDR's WG Traffic and Network Management focuses on the vital issue of efficient traffic flows and aims to reinforce the role of European NRAs as providers of seamless mobility from an end user perspective within the transport system.

In the above context, the Group has been organising workshops and producing fact sheets on traffic management-related topics which contain best practices and recommendations relevant to European NRAs. Some of the WG's recent fact sheets, among others, are on the following topics:

• hard shoulder running (2022),
• traffic information services for traffic management (2023), and
• future of roadside assets traffic management assets (2023).

In 2024, the Group will play a key role in the realisation of the objectives of the Belgium Flanders Presidency of CEDR which revolve around the preservation of current and future road infrastructures in Europe and the role of NRAs as digital road managers.
