CEDR projects to present at International Symposium on Heavy Vehicle Transport Technology

The HVTT15 conference in Rotterdam, 2-4 October 2018, will feature presentations from the FALCON and FLUXNET projects under CEDR Call 2015 Freight and Logistics in a Multimodal Context.

The FALCON project has provided NRAs with a handbook explaining the principles of freight markets, logistics strategies, and how multimodal transport works and can be influenced. The project is now finalising the development of smart infrastructure access policy (SIAP) for current and future road freight vehicles ensuring proper fit between the vehicle and the infrastructure network.

The FLUXNET project has created a toolbox for NRAs to help optimise the multi-modal use of the infrastructure networks by the transport and  logistic sector. Special attention has been paid to the connection between land use and infrastructure planning.

The projects will present on Days One and Two (2-3 October) of the three-day conference. The conference programme is available here, with the schedule of scientific presentations available here.

The CEDR Secretary-General, Steve Phillips, will also serve as moderator at the conference opening session  and first plenary session.
